Angst - “a feeling of deep anxiety or dread, typically an unfocused one about the human condition or the state of the world in general.”

Cross My Heart is a KRBKKR angst-themed bang. This bang is designed to encourage angst and/or whump works of fiction centered around the characters Bakugou Katsuki & Kirishima Eijirou. Authors will be paired with artists and betas, and teams will post their completed works in November. All participants must be 18 years of age or older to sign up. All KRBKKR content is allowed, so long as it fits the theme, and the bang practices a pro-ship/pro-fiction policy.

Signups

Signups open March 22nd and will run until April 12th for writers and April 19th for Artists and Betas. Writers may start working on their piece as soon as possible (it is encouraged) but may not share their ideas anywhere an artist or beta may see it. This includes general server channels, social media, other Discord servers, or bang channels that have artists and beta present (like the bang gen chat).

All participants will be emailed a copy of their signup form for record keeping. If you can’t remember if you signed up, please check your email first. If you do not see a confirmation email, you can send a message in #bang-assistance. If you haven’t already, please consider adding [email protected] to your email contact list to prevent future emails from going to your spam folder.

General Bang Rules and Guidelines

• All participants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of signup to participate.
  • If you are found lying about your age, you will be removed from the bang and banned from any future events.
• All participants must join the KRBK Events Discord server to participate as that is where bang communication will primarily take place.
  • You must not have any bang mods blocked on social media to join the server. Please check out our mod list.
  • You may mute any channels outside of the bang section if you are not interested in participating in the rest of the server. You may leave the server once the bang has completed if you do not wish to stay.
• The bang practices a pro-ship and pro-fiction policy.
  • Be courteous toward other server members and bang participants. We have zero tolerance for purity culture and anti-rhetoric, morality policing, trolling, manipulative behavior, wishing harm on other people, and hateful speech.
  • We do not bash ships, shippers, characters, head canons, characterizations, writing or art styles, or other members of fandom, or anything else in between.

Works MUST BE your own original creation. Copying/tracing, plagiarizing, and generative AI will NOT be tolerated. Anyone found doing any of these things will be removed from the bang, kicked out of the server, and banned from all future events.

Content, Themes, Partners

• This bang is a traditional bang in which the writer submits a summary and artists and betas choose their favorite summaries to be paired with. Mods will then factor in the selections to match up teams. While we do our best to try and get everyone their first choice, we cannot guarantee it.
• All content is allowed with no restrictions. The only requirements being that it is a KRBKKR-centric piece. This can be romantic OR platonic. And that the fic focuses on some sort of angst or whump trope. Other ships are allowed as long as they are not the main focus.
  • NSFW and Problematic content are allowed and encouraged.
  • We only ask that you keep discussions and depictions of these to the appropriate channels in the Discord server.
  • The work does not have to be angsty the entire time and happy endings are allowed.
• For fairness and to ensure we have enough people for teams, pre-paired teams will not be allowed in this bang. We understand that it is fun to work with someone you are friends with, but we want to encourage getting to know new people and collaborate with them. Artists that are part of a pre-paired team would have a major advantage over artists that aren’t, as they would have months to work on their illustration vs the weeks that artists going through claims would have. For that reason also, pre-paired teams will not be accepted.
  • However, we understand not everyone gets along with everyone. There will be an option on the signup form and again on the summary submission/claims forms to list if there is someone participating in the bang that you do not want to be matched up with.
  • Mods will ensure you are not paired together, no questions asked.
